In 2021, simpler and less overloaded solutions are already in fashion, but this complex mishmash should remain in the past. The same front panel with several tiers looks quite interesting in the RX, but the center console is too overloaded with buttons, rectangular air ducts look boring, but apparently there is a unification with Toyota, and there is also a quartz clock on the front panel, and a slippery steering wheel with inserts from wood. Of the newfangled features, there is atmospheric interior lighting, but it is quite weak, it is implemented worse than that of competitors. Here, purely visually, I don’t like the Lexus interior, but it evokes some nostalgic thoughts and is in no way associated with a modern car.

If the manufacturer adapted the menu at least a little to this control option, for example, by making large items, as in MBUX from Mercedes-Benz, it would be easier, but no, they tried to make menu items and lines smaller, and even hid the main items in the popup window.

A pleasant feature of the restyled RX is the presence of a touch screen, so you can forget about Remote-Touch like a bad dream. True, the screen is shifted far from the driver, but it's still better than using an uncomfortable touchpad. The display in the RX is 12.3 inches IPS with a good resolution, responsive to pressing, quite bright and contrasty. The graphics of the main menu in the system, alas, is primitive, and in general the system is somehow already outdated. Of the features of the updated RX media system, it is worth noting support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, everything is only by wire, but thanks for that. Navigation in the car is not the best, with a very primitive drawing, and besides, the maps do not know the roads that were put into operation more than a year ago, updates over the air are not available here, everything is only through the dealer. Route guidance in the RX is displayed on a nice 10” head-up screen that only shows the speedometer and additional information. In addition to route data, the car also displays restriction signs, but, as I understand it, it takes them from its own database, so they may not always correspond to reality. When the system is connected to a Wi-Fi access point, navigation will display traffic jams and build a route taking them into account.

The analog gauges in the RX are legible, but there's not much point in looking at them with a high-quality projection screen. Of the minor shortcomings, I note that a digital speedometer cannot be displayed on the display between the devices, which would be relevant for configurations without a projection.
